Acts of the Apostles 2:14-18

“It’s one thing to ‘HAVE’ the Holy Spirit but another thing for the Holy Spirit to have you!”

Does the Holy Spirit have you?

Ephesians 5:18-20

Galatians 5:16-17

The word “peri” means around, and the word “pateo” means to walk.
To walk in the Spirit means to live in the Spirit and to be influenced by the Spirit.
It is impossible to live for Christ and accomplish His mission for your life without be filled with the Holy Spirit.
If Jesus needed to empowered by the Holy Spirit, so do we.
- Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary (see Matthew 1:18,20; Luke 1:35).
- Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit at the Jordan River when He was baptized in water by John the Baptist (see Matthew 3:16; Mark 1:10; Luke 3:22; John 1:32).
- Jesus was the One who would baptize in the Holy Spirit and with fire (see Matthew 3:11; Luke 3:16; John 1:33; Acts 11:16).
- Jesus commanded His disciples to stay in Jerusalem until they were “filled with” and “empowered by” the Holy Spirit (see Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,5).
- Jesus was resurrected from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit (see Romans 8:11).
- After Jesus was exalted to the right hand of God, He poured out the Holy Spirit upon the Church on the Day of Pentecost (see Acts 2:1-4,33).
1. You receive Jesus.
2. Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit
3. Begin to surrender your will to His leading.
