Never Give Up & Never Lose Hope
Do you have moments where you have lost your hope?

Big Idea: As followers of Jesus, we live full of hope!

Scripture: Matthew 7:7-11 NLT – “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Why do we never give up and never lose hope?
o Jesus said to keep on keepin’ on!
§ Matthew 7:7-8 NLT – “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
o God knows the Right gifts to give at the Right Time
§ Matthew 6:8 NLT – Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!
§ Matthew 7:9-11 NLT – “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.
§ James 4:3 NIV – When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

o The End Here is only the Beginning
§ Revelation 22:13 NIV – I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
§ John 11:25-26 NLT – I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.
§ Romans 8:28 NIV – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Where are you lacking hope today?
o Galatians 6:9 NLT – So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
o Hebrews 5:8 NLT – Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.

Next Steps
