Redefining Moments — 18-23 October 2021

It is in “Redefining Moments” each day that our faith is strengthened through time in prayer and reading the Bible.  This weekly guide is designed to help you in your journey.

Locations & Times

Tervuren, Belgium

Broekstraat 1, 3080 Tervuren, Belgium

Monday 6:15 AM

MONDAY: False Accusations
Reading: Proverbs 11:9
Prayer: Lord, help me to always love my neighbor and only speak truth. When false accusations come, may knowledge bring about truth. I love You, Lord!
TUESDAY: False Accusations
Reading: 1 Peter 3:9
Prayer: Lord Jesus, when I think about all You have done to forgive me and love me, let my heart be free of revenge and filled with blessing for those around me. May my words be life-giving and uplifting and blessing to all who I encounter. Forgive me for times where I've reacted harshly to those who have spoken falsely about me. Give me love and grace to point them to You. I love You, Jesus.
WEDNESDAY: False Accusations
Reading: Psalm 35:21-23
Prayer: Lord, You know the truth. Help me to rest in that reality. Keep my heart from becoming bitter or angry and keep me tender before You. Let my life and testimony be a praise to You.
THURSDAY: False Accusations
Reading: Luke 6:27
Prayer: Jesus, You repeatedly turned the world upside down by commanding Your followers to "love your enemies." While this is countercultural, it is the true mark of a follower of You. Help me to love those who speak falsehoods against me. Forgive me for allowing my pride to overshadow my call. I love You, Lord
FRIDAY: False Accusations
Reading: 1 Peter 2:1-3
Prayer: Lord, You have called me to live differently. Putting aside any deceit and malice, and pursuing a spiritual hunger to be able to grow in You is my desire. Let my words build up others. I love You, Lord
SATURDAY: False Accusations
Reading: Isaiah 53:7
Prayer: Lord, I'm so sorry that You were falsely accused, yet it is a reminder that it will happen to me as well. You understand all that I've faced and You showed me what my response should be. Help me when I want to defend my honor when You chose to remain silent. You chose not to defend Yourself, but You showed me how to respond in compassion and love. I was one of Your accusers and You have loved me in spite of that. Give me grace to love people the way You do.
