Once a group of children were rushing up to see Jesus. His disciples began discouraging this. Jesus rebuked the disciples and said, “Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Why does the Kingdom of God belong to children? It might not be what you think. The answer to this question is revealed in the parable of the rich, young man who Jesus instructs to sell all his possessions in Matthew 19:16-22. In both these scriptures, Jesus reveals to us the pathway to heaven.
