In 2005, Amber and Scott Woller started the process of planting Corner Church. For the first 16 years, Amber served on the church staff team. While Amber is still part of our team, she is no longer working for Corner Church. We want to celebrate and honor her and her investment in community! This Saturday, October 23 from 7p-8:30p, a come-and-go dessert party at the Woller home. 521 S 7th Street #112.

Pumpkin Carving Party at Ty and Rachel Collins’ home. October 23 at 3p. Please RSVP with Ty at ty@cornerchurch.tv.

North Loop Neighborhood Halloween Party. Saturday, October 30 at 5p-7:30p at The Nordic Plaza, 729 N Washington. Candy, movie and prizes for best costumes.

Corner Church Partnership Class. November 9 at 6p or November 20 at 11a. Partnership is the formal step of Corner Church membership. Learn more from your community pastor and please RSVP with Scott Woller at scott@cornerchurch.tv.

As a part of the Corner Church family, you have endless opportunities to get involved and to serve. Be sure to mark your Connection Card with any areas where you have interest in helping.

October is pastor appreciation month. Encouraging notes and words go a long way. We love our pastoral team!
Prayer Focus:

Missions Focus: We are praying for Wayne and Natalie S. They serve in a sensitive region in western Asia. Please be praying for Natalie as she is working with youth. Please pray for the girls and for leadership development.

Local Focus: Pray for safety in our city. Pray for opportunities to invest in our neighbors.

Church Focus: As we work hard to multiply in Northeast and in Columbia Heights, please pray for God’s supernatural and natural provision.
Dialogue Question:

If you had just seen Jesus depart, what would be your immediate reaction and processing?

A moment of inspiration?
A moment of anguish?
A moment of clarity?
A moment of confusion?
A moment of hope?
A moment of trauma?
Dialogue Question:

Jesus’ call for us to be part of the fulfilling of the Covenant:

What does that say about God?
What does that say about His relationship with us?
How does it shape for you what it is to be a follower of Jesus?
Dialogue Question:

What should great people in your life who don’t know Jesus see, hear and experience from you?
Dialogue Question:

How are you challenged/encouraged by this lifestyle?
What do you want to start?
What do you need to stop to make space for that to occur?
Take It Deeper Questions:
Read Acts 2.
What are you normally doing on a Saturday morning at 9am?
From Peter’s words, what did these people who loved and feared God need to hear?
What do already good people receive with a relationship with Jesus?
How are you challenged, encouraged, focused, confused by verses 42-47?
