North Platte Berean Church
What is God like? (Part 3)
What would you wish for if you knew it would come true? Perhaps a new or restored relationship, health, wealth, or freedom from some difficulty or besetting sin? What if we could have all of the above, but without the presence of God – would we be satisfied? Too often, we’re tricked into substituting God’s good gifts for God Himself. Our fixation on the gifts hinders us from finding the deep satisfaction that can only come from truly knowing Him. Will we join together to seek a deeper encounter with God’s glory, a greater sense of His presence and goodness in our lives? Or will we be distracted by, and settle for, lesser things?

Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
What does a growing relationship with Jesus Christ look like?
Treasuring God
Being Transformed
Loving Others
Pursuing Unity
• Slow to Anger: https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/slow-to-anger/
Visit npberean.org/group-resources for more group resources or to connect.
• Treasuring God: What benefit is it to us that God is slow to anger? Read Romans 2:4 – what purpose does the Lord’s kindness serve? Does this challenge or change how we view God?
• Being Transformed: In what areas is God having to be “slow to anger” with us? What step can we take with that?
• Loving Others: Who are the people we’re quickest to snap with? What can we change to help us slow down our quickness to anger?
• Pursuing Unity: Are there people we still hold grudges/bitterness toward? How does that impact our view of them? How could we take a step toward restoration with them?
