Elder, Deacon, and Nominating Committee Nominations

Each fall, we ask our congregation for their recommendations for candidates to serve as Elders, Deacons, and members of the Nominating Committee. Please take a few moments to pray and consider whom you might recommend to the committee as a possible candidate, and then ask the person if he or she will allow you to submit his or her name to the Nominating Committee (link below) to receive additional information. Nominations are due September 27th!

Red Cross Blood Drive

Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. You can help by giving blood at our blood drive on September 30th from 12-6 pm in Activity Center. Xplore: Welcome the Nations Among Us

There are lots of practical things we can do to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. St. Louis’s immigrant and refugee population is growing, and these image-bearers often need help as they adjust to their new homes.To help, we’re launching Xplore: Welcome the Nations Among Us. This small group is for anyone interested in mentoring immigrants in our community. The study will cover welcoming people of other cultures biblically as well as practical ways to help.The study begins Thursday, September 30th (6:30-8 pm in the Bigg House), and ends on November 4th. Baby Dedication

It is time to celebrate our little ones again! We are holding a Baby Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, October 16th at 9:00 am. Register at efree.org/events!

Join us for Trunk or Treat! We’re hosting an awesome Trunk or Treat event on October 30th (3:30 – 5:30 pm) with super fun trunks, live worship music, face painting, and more! Bring your friends, neighbors, and family! In his letter to the Galatians, Paul encourages believers to “share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). Life can be hard sometimes, and we aren’t meant to go it alone - we’re meant to do it as part of a group. Church Center is a hub for First Free - you can manage giving, find a group, reserve your spot for a Sunday service, and more. The app also has a directory! Download the app, go to your profile and ‘My Directory Settings’ and choose the information you’d like included in the Directory. If you need help, email directory@efree.org.

We wanted to remind you that RightNow Media has thousands of videos for your kids and loads of Bible studies for you to help you stay grounded in your faith during all of this stay at home time. Care Team Counseling

Life often includes challenges that are too big to face alone. Our lay Care Team Counselors are trained to walk alongside and assist people who are in need of hope, care, and direction. Counselors are available by appointment every Wednesday evening - email care@efree.org.
