Session 4<br><b><i>Joy in Knowing Jesus</i></b><br><br><b>Believers gain joy through knowing Jesus and living in obedience to Him.</b><br>Philippians 3:8-21<br><br>Goals help us establish new behaviors, keep us focused on a desired outcome, and serve as guides that help us sustain some type of momentum to keep going. Some goals may be steps toward a larger goal like running three miles a day with the hope of eventually running a marathon. We set goals for all kinds of things, including physical fitness, skills, and financial goals. But what about setting spiritual goals? What would a spiritual goal look like? Paul gives us some clues in Philippians chapter 3. <br><br>What do goals reveal about a person’s priorities and view of self? What do spiritual goals reveal about a person’s view of salvation and God?

Disaster Relief Training

<b>SBTC Disaster Relief Training Phase 1</b><br><b>Thursday, October 16</b><br><b>9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.</b><br><b>Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary – Fort Worth</b><br><br>SBTC (Southern Baptists of Texas Convention) Disaster Relief Training Phase 1 is for individuals who desire to be the hands and feet of Christ after a disaster strikes. <br><br>SBTC Disaster Relief meets real needs and shares the good news of hope through Jesus Christ with those impacted by disasters. Trainings offered at this event will give you an orientation into Disaster Relief Ministry and help you to safely work in disasters such as floods, fires, and tornadoes.<br><br>If no one is pre-registered for a particular ministry area training module, it will not be offered.<br>Contact Nathan Pike with questions.
