WELCOME
We are a family striving to be relevant, connected people, radically changed by the love of Jesus, impacting our neighbors, near and far with transforming truth and dynamic compassion.
The Challenge
Who He is. Who we are.
Revelation 4-5
“What you aim at determines what you see.”
Jordan Peterson
Look! Look! Look!
Behold! Behold! Behold!
Thinks are not always as they seem.”
Darrell W. Johnson
In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope, without light
'Til from Heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
God is not far away . . . Look an open door!
After this I looked, and there before me was a door stand open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”
Revelation 4:1
Things are out of control . . . Look, a throne!
At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it!
Revelation 4:2
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross
For even in your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake you died
Only the strong survive . . . Look, a lamb!
Revelation 5:6
“Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne.”
Revelation 5:6
There is no plan . . . Look, a scroll!
Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?”
Revelation 5:1-2
But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.
Revelation 5:3-4
Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Revelation 5:5
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders.
Revelation 5:6
He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb.
Revelation 5:7
On his robe and on his thigh he has the name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Revelation 19:16
‘Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty,’
who was, and is, and is to come
Revelation 4:8
And the morning that You rose
All of Heaven held its breath
'Til that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who'd come
To the Father are restored!
And the church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel, shall not faint
By His blood and in His name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me
“Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in.
Aim at earth and you get neither.”
-C.S. Lewis
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ . . . — 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will . . . to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. . . . 13 And you were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory!!!
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ, [our KING OF KINGS] from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, . . . 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
