Malachi 3:6

Numbers 23:19

Isaiah 40:8

Two Problems with Immutability:
(1) An unchanging God who created a constantly changing universe.

(2) Prayer

Luke 18:1-5

Matthew 7:7-11

Hebrews 13:8

What does God's immutability mean on Monday?

(1) I can trust God

Our trust in him is therefore a confident trust, for we know that he will not, indeed cannot, change. His purposes are unfailing, his promises unassailable. It is because the God who promised us eternal life is immutable that Romans 8 is true:

Romans 8:35-38

What does God's immutability mean on Monday?

(1) I can trust God
(2) God's love is constant for us

Jeremiah 31:3

Psalm 100:5

Jonah 4:1-2

Jeremiah 18:7-8

What does God's immutability mean on Monday?

(1) I can trust God
(2) God's love is constant for us
(3) My soul can be at peace
(a) God's opinion of me does not change

1 John 1:9

What does God's immutability mean on Monday?

(1) I can trust God
(2) God's love is constant for us
(3) My soul can be at peace
(a) God's opinion of me does not change
(b) God's promises will be fulfilled

Philippians 1:6

What does God's immutability mean on Monday?

(1) I can trust God
(2) God's love is constant for us
(3) My soul can be at peace
(a) God's opinion of me does not change
(b) God's promises will be fulfilled
(4) I am aware that I need to be-ware

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Galatians 5:19-21

The compass matters more than the calendar. The direction I'm headed matters more than the speed with which I'm getting there.
