Jesus changed the game from the Old Testament to the New Testament giving us a brand-new covenant with God. This new covenant sets us free from the law of sin/death and brings us into the life of the Spirit.
Under the old covenant, the law brought death. It literally declares all men guilty and disqualified. The new covenant brings the life of the Holy Spirit and qualifies us to be ministers of the Gospel.
Under the old covenant, we were powerless to overcome the weakness of our flesh, the devil, and this world’s system. The new covenant empowers us by the Holy Spirit to walk in victory over the world, our flesh, and the devil.
Under the old covenant, we were bound by the letter of the law. The new covenant liberates us by the Spirit of Truth, empowering us to live a life that honors God.
