Jesus Christ is not a person from history that influenced society. He was and is and will always be Savior, King, and Lord. The question is what is He to you? We all are building a house (our life) but on what foundation are we building on; religion, our own good works, the things of this world, our education, government? Jesus asked His disciples who He was and Peter spoke up and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of God." Jesus, replied that, "flesh and blood", meaning man's intellect didn't deduce that was who He was, but God almighty revealed it to Peter and upon that revelation knowledge He, Jesus would build His church and He has.

A. What you build on and what you build with will determine a lot!
1. Rain

A. What have you heard?
John the Baptist, Elisha, Prophets
B. What do you know?
It’s personal; know in your heart
III. BY REVELATION THIS KNOWLEDGE COMES
17Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
VS 17 God wants to reveal
From the beginning: let there be a revelation of “Me”
“I’m going to build something with that”
Peter= PETROS = Small stone
Rock = PETRA = Massive stone, rock, cliff
Revelation of Christ = who He is and what He has done
He builds ON that revelation!
This revelation demands a choice!
IV. TRUE REVELATION(You see Christ)
A. Inspires you
1. Inspire= to affect, to arouse, stimulate creativity or action
2. Do things because of love
3. Do thing because you want to
4. Do things because you have seen Him
B. Empowers you
1. Empower= To invest with legal power and authority
2. Give you the keys
3. See Christ lest you fear the devil
C. Assures you
1. Gates of Hell shall not be victorious!
2. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine
3. God’s way of loving is eternal
