Today, guest speaker, Zach Simpson, is continuing our series "What's Missing?", with a powerful word!
Myth #1: The Holy Spirit only does spectacular things.
The Holy Spirit is ready to guide us in the big and small moments of life.
Myth #2: The Holy Spirit is mysterious.
Myth #3: The Holy Spirit is reserved for super Christians.
God desires for us to be filled to overflowing with His Spirit. Filled to the point where the Spirit is the One leading and guiding us.
Myth #4: The Holy Spirit is an extra or optional part of our faith.
The Holy Spirit isn’t optional. He is God the Spirit and promises to walk us through the big and small moments in life.
Myth #5: The Holy Spirit comes and goes.
The Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of Jesus’ promise. He is God’s presence in us and with us.
God gives us the Holy Spirit to live in us, to empower us to live for God, to give us a new heart, with new and right desires.
1) Thank Him for drawing you into a personal relationship with God.
2) Ask Him to be your teacher, helper, and friend.
3) Ask Him to fill you completely with His Spirit.
