Fellowship of the Crossroads
Retold: David vs. Goliath
The account of David vs Goliath is one of the best-known accounts from the Old Testament. For kids and adults for that matter, the most common lesson taught is with God’s help you can overcome the “Giants” in your life. This account is where we get the idea of the little guy taking on a big challenge, a big corporation, overcoming overwhelming odds, and coming out a victor, so much so the term “David vs Goliath” has become a cliché. But there is way more to the account than that.
