“Loving Our Community”
“We can serve without loving God, but we cannot love God without serving others.” - Christ Community Fellowship

5 Timeless Benefits From Serving God As We Love/Serve Others:
1. Serving is my life calling.
“If you insist on living for yourself, you’ll lose it. Only those who give away their lives for my sake and for the sake of the Good News will ever know what it means to really live.” (Mark 8:35) [TLB]

2. Serving makes me more like Jesus.
“Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28) [TLB]

3. Serving is the highest use of my time and talent.
“Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

4. Serving is the secret to greatness.
“It must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” (Matthew 20:26)

5. My service will be rewarded in heaven.
“Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24)
“I assure you,” Jesus said, “there is no one who has left house, brothers or sisters, mother or father, children, or fields because of Me and the gospel, who will not receive 100 times more, now at this time—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions— and eternal life in the age to come.” (Mark 10:29-30)

Sierra Vista’s Goal For Our Fiscal Year 2021-2022: To grow in our love for our community by serving it.
“Do not lack diligence; be fervent in spirit; serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.” (Romans 12:11-12)
