1. Sex is a gift God gives for procreation, oneness, and pleasure to a man and woman in the covenant of marriage.
2. Anything outside of God’s created purpose for sex is sinful and damaging.
“Desires for things God has forbidden are a reflection of how sin has distorted me, not how God has made me.” - Sam Allberry
Immorality is misplaced intimacy (Greek “porneia” - root word for pornography)
“Pornography is poison to your mind.” - Dr. Jim Burns
3. Make yourself accountable
The church is to be a safe place for the sexually broken to find healing through Jesus Christ.
"God loves you just the way you are, but He refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus.” – Max Lucado
4. Glorify God with your body
“In the end, Christianity triumphed in its early Greco-Roman context not because it was the same as the surrounding pagan culture, but because it was different.” – Michael Kruger

Dig Deeper
· Read John 3:16-17. Why did God send his son, Jesus, into the world? What was God’s response to sinners?
· Pastor Josh emphasized this statement, "The church is to be a safe place for the sexually broken to find healing through Jesus Christ." Discuss how we can receive and help people find healing and transformation in our church?
· How do we practically love others who believe different from us without condoning or condemning them or compromising God’s truth?
· Read and discuss Romans 1:26-27 and Romans 5:12-13. Why are these two passages difficult for people in today’s culture to accept? How does our culture define sin today?
· Read 1 Corinthians 6:12-13. How do we find freedom within the boundaries God has provided in Scripture?
· Read 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Matthew 15:19-20, how does God view any form of sexual immorality? What does Paul strongly encourage in 1 Corinthians 6:18?
· What other cultural norms, aside from sexuality, lead us away from God?
· Why is it important for us to be defined by Christ and not by our sexuality, status in life, failures, successes, and what we have or don’t have?
