To believe means to rely on, put faith in, or have confidence in. This belief is so strong and compelling that it changes the way you live.
“Are you a Christ-follower?”
The term Christ-follower implies that an individual has placed their trust in Jesus and actively applies His Word and teaching to guide their daily lives and decisions.
Bowing to a new King, requires a new allegiance and that new allegiance, involves a new alignment, and that new alignment will lead you into new way of living.
You don’t get baptized because you want your life to change, you get baptized because Jesus has already changed you.
I am a Heroin and meth addict of 13 years. IV user. Lots of jail/prison time and sad/hard days. I have been sober and off everything for 100 days today. I have been desperate for change for a long time....but I could never do it. I got arrested (again) may 10th and I was in Spokane County jail (for the 100th time it felt like) dope sick on the floor of 2 west, and I started praying
I didn't pray for change or to get out of Jail. I just kept it short and simple and asked God to open my heart. I didn't even know if I believed in God. I said I did, but I didn't feel I did. Anyway, I kept praying every day, every night and every morning. And I spent about 2 months in jail. Over that time, I kept praying, asking for an open heart and open mind, by the time I got out I was reading my Bible and talking to God often. I got out and I kept doing those things, and I stayed clean! I've never been able to make it 24 hours without calling someone and going back to the drugs. So it was really amazing to find God, get the strength only God can give you, and live a completely different life. Like way different.
I wanted to find a church and it just so happens that ONE is right down the street from where I moved. So I tried it out 2 Sundays ago. And I loved it. I loved the message & the environment & the music. The message was called "changed" & it was so very fitting because I am changed. That profound change where you think different, talk different, act different....that is me & I could never do it on my own. It is God & I am soooo thankful because change is all I've ever wanted. To be a good person & to be happy.

You have “believed in”, and desire to follow Jesus Christ. You now understand that, Bowing to a new King, requires a new allegiance and a new allegiance involves a new alignment and that new alignment leads to a new way of living.
