The two hardest things in life are 1) starting” and 2) finishing.”

Almost all people have good intentions. What differentiates them is their character and priorities

When you are surrounded by insane people living in an insane culture, then doing the insane thing seems normal.

1. “Take care” because we can “fall away”

2.”Encourage one another” because our hearts can “become hardened.”

3. “Hold fast” to what God has said if we want to become “partakers of Christ.”

Two requirements in order to hold fast:
1) Be diligent - not sluggish
2) Be imitators

Sluggish = dull; careless; apathetic; lethargic
Diligent = be consistent; exert oneself; attend to carefully; be persistent

Things that keep people from finishing:
Fear and lack of trust in God

Things that keep people from finishing:
Unforgiveness

Things that keep people from finishing:
Carelessness in spiritual practices

Things that keep people from finishing:
Secret sin

Things that keep people from finishing:
Unresolved issues from the past
