Friday 5:00 PM

In this passage of God’s Word, we see Jesus casting out a demon. However, the story really focuses on Jesus’ teachings to the people’s reactions of this miracle. The people were unbelieving of who Jesus said that He was. We often have this same reaction to God when we do through difficult times. Through what Jesus teaches these people we learn that we have to realize:

1. Good, logical and critical thinking leads to God
Luke 11:17-20, Rom. 1:18-23, John 14:6, 1 Cor. 10:11, Rom. 8:28

2. God is infinitely more powerful than the enemy
Luke 11:21-22, 1 Chron. 29:11, Col. 1:16, Rom. 8:28, Is. 41:10

3. You cannot be neutral towards Jesus Christ
Luke 11:23-26, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Tim. 2:5, John 3:16, 36, 17:3
Reflection Questions

1. What situations lead you to struggle with your faith and think that God is not who He says He is?

2. How would remembering the 3 main points to Jesus’ teachings in the passage help you with your relationship with God?

3. What practical steps can you take to better hear and keep the Word of God, and thus be blessed, as Jesus says in Luke 11:28?

Building Changes

Starting this Sunday, August 15th, we will be having our worship services in the sanctuary, instead of the gym. This will mean that we will start using the center entrance as our main entrance once again. Also, the east wing of our building will be the new kids’ ministry area. Please ask a greater if you have questions about where things are in the building.
