MONDAY: Love Your Enemy
Reading: Matthew 5:43-48
Prayer: Jesus, I know that your biggest teachings centered around healthy, loving relationships. Please help me as I interact with those that are harder for me to love. Help me to see them through your eyes.
TUESDAY: Love Your Enemy
Reading: Colossians 3:12-14
Prayer: Jesus, as hard it may be, I see that you are asking me to love people that I can't stand and sometimes even hate. Please help me to forgive those who have done wrong to me so that I can begin to love my enemy.
WEDNESDAY: Love Your Enemy
Reading: Luke 6:27-30
Prayer: God, today, I pray for the people that I consider my enemy. I pray that you would reveal your love and goodness to them. I pray that you would bring healing and restore relationships in their lives.
THURSDAY: Love Your Enemy
Reading: Romans 12:17-21
Prayer: Lord, please help me when those who lash out against me in unkindness. Please help me not to respond in anger. Help me instead to respond with compassion and love.
FRIDAY: Love Your Enemy
Reading: Luke 6:32-36
Prayer: God, please give me patience today. In the times that I would be quick to respond to those who have hurt me, please help me to pause. Please help me to see their life from your eyes and their perspective. I need your patience as I wait for you to work in the circumstances.
SATURDAY: Love Your Enemy
Reading: Romans 5:8-10
Prayer: Thank you, God, for loving me even when I was your enemy. Help me to follow your example to love even when it is not deserved. I need your grace to show YOUR love to those who are opposed to me.
