The Path of Foolishness
Foolishness is the mindless ignorance of knowledge and experience to what we think, feel and act resulting in deteriorating relationships with God, self and others.
Being Grounded
Being Grounded is consistently living out of the love, knowledge, presence and strength of Jesus.

Four Life Views
1. The Pessimist - if it can go wrong, it will go wrong for me.
2. The Optimist - if it can go right, it will go right for me!
3. The Realist - it’s not about me.
What Do You Expect?
- Our expectations determine what we see and don’t see.
- Why didn’t that happen to me?
- Why is this happening to me?
- Why not me?
A. Positive expectation…
i) Why wouldn’t good things come my way?

B. Wonder-based curiosity
i) Why didn’t bad things happen to me? Survivors guilt
ii) Gratitude for blessings

4. The Faithful
i) God is in control, I’m not, God’s got me, I’m going to be OK.
ii) In trusting God, I can have peace greater than the circumstances. (Philippians 4:6-7)
iii) Normal People With Normal Faith (Hebrews 10:32–39)
a) Endurance is required
b) Suffering is expected
i) Your own
ii) and walking with others
c) A Cost Will Be Paid
d) Leaning Forward Is Necessary
i) Image: stumbling forward in the race
ii) when you’re leaning forward, you can only go forward
iii) Don’t live on your heels
