Reading: 1 Peter 5:1-4
Prayer: Lord, You have called me to lead others and to care for them the way You have cared for me. Forgive me for times where I haven't had the right attitude and I've neglected opportunities to serve. Help me to serve others and in doing so, I am serving You. Help me to love authentically and serve faithfully.

Prayer: Jesus, You have saved me and strengthen my faith in order to serve more authentically. Just as Paul reminds me, serving is not just an act during easy times, but even when things are difficult, and even in the face of danger or persecution. I want to serve You and Your Church with all diligence and without wavering. I love You. Thank You for the high calling to serve.

Like any team effort, it takes each one, uniquely gifted, to serve in a healthy way. Help me to joyfully serve You and embrace the role You have given to me to serve the greater body of believers. Thank You for loving me.
