Ways That Salt Is Used In The Bible:
• As a covenant: (Numbers 18:19, Leviticus 2:13, 2 Chronicles 13:5)
• As a preservative:
• As a spice: (Job 6:6, Luke 14:34)
• As an offering: (Ezekiel 43:24)
• As a symbol of loyalty and friendship: (Mark 9:50, Colossians 4:6)
History of Light in the Bible:
• Light Is Good. (2 Corinthians 4:6, John 3:19)
• God Is Light. (2 Corinthians 4:6, John 8:12, Ephesians 5:8-9)
• God is the Light to the World. (Philippians 2:15)
• God is the Light Yet to Come. (2 Peter 1:19)
You are the salt and light of the earth!
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5: 13-16)

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison—that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. There is no evil, no darkness in God’s love.” (Colossians 4:2-6)

“If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.” (1 John 4:20)

Application:
There is no evil, no darkness in God’s love.
Our words should always bring glory to God.
