Genesis 3:1-24 NKJV
Key Point #1: Jesus was present in the Old Testament (Christophany). When Jesus shows up, His mission is to seek and to save that which was lost (cf. Gen. 3:8-9).
Key Point #2: Jesus was pictured in the Old Testament (Typology). His pictures in the Old Testament help us understand His fulfillment in the New Testament (cf. Gen. 3:7, 21).
Key Point #3: Jesus was promised in the Old Testament (Prophesied). The prophecies of the Old Testament serve as evidence that Jesus is the Christ (cf. Gen. 3:15).
One Last Thought: The story of redemption is not a cliffhanger in which we have to wait to the end of the book to see who wins. No, Jesus was declared the winner from the outset.
