Announcements:

Tuesday Morning Prayer. 9a-10a in Corner Coffee North Loop’s Kids Space. Join in person or on Zoom. (Link is on the Corner Church calendar.)

This Saturday, August 7, we are meeting at Corner Coffee North Loop for a casual bike ride to get ice cream. Meet at 7p and bike to Milkjam Creamery in Uptown. NiceRide bike rentals or scooter rentals are also available.

On Sunday, August 15 we will have our next UNITED Service at Theo Wirth Beach, 3200 Glenwood Ave, Minneapolis. You will have an opportunity to get baptized in water. If you are interested and/or have any questions, please connect with your community pastor. After our service that day, we will have an all-church picnic at the park. Brats and drinks will be provided. Bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Corner Church Fall Connection Groups: September through November. The question today is, are you interested in leading a Connection Group this fall?—a group that connects people, a group that prays for each other, a group that does something fun together or studies something together, a group that has a shared interest or wants to develop a new skill? Be praying, planning, and looking for a co-leader now. Group registration will open soon!

Walking Distance Day: Our calling as a church is to have a Corner Church and a valued in-community business within walking distance of people in our city. On September 25, we will be meeting at Corner Coffee Uptown and then walking to Corner Coffees North Loop, Camden, and Northeast, and then back to Uptown. It will be about 18 miles. We will be walking, connecting, seeing, praying.

Corner Church Fall Retreat is October 1-3 at Camp Lebanon. This is an annual Corner Church event where you can find connection, rest, and refocusing. Registration opens soon!

Ministry Teams: On your connection card, you can indicate interest in serving on a specific ministry team or just indicate that you’re ready to help in any way.
Prayer Focus:

Missions: Pray for Dan and Erin Pack. Dan and Erin lead a ministry called Akina that serves at-risk Native American youth here in Minneapolis. Pray for them as they are looking for a new home to buy that will also be a good base for ministry. We are writing them encouraging notes today.

Local: Be praying for opportunities to know the specific needs of your neighbors and be praying for opportunities and resources to meet those needs.

Church: Pray for our Fall Connection Groups, that there would be great opportunities to grow together.
