Saturated | The Oil of the Spirit
We all have moments when we feel drained and depleted. We try to do everything on our own, but it isn’t meant to be that way. As followers of Christ, we are meant to run on the oil the Lord gives us, and that’s what our Saturated series is all about. In it, Pastor Preston Morrison will take us through passages in God’s Word describing four precious oils we need to thrive. Together, let’s discover how we can be filled daily with God’s oil and accomplish all He calls us to. This weekend, Pastor Preston Morrison continues his Saturated series by sharing about the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the impact it has on our lives and the assignments God has given us.

While the meal annoys the enemy, the anointing TERRIFIES your enemy.
Gifting: An inherent ability to do something well.
Anointing: A divine enablement to do something beyond natural ability.
1. The anointing of the Holy Spirit must be seen as essential.
If Jesus, the Son of God, needed to be anointed by the Holy Spirit for His work, what makes us think we don’t need to be anointed for ours?
How do you know you don’t see the anointing of the Holy Spirit as essential? You rarely ask for it.
2. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is for specific use.
God doesn’t give more of His Spirit just because; there’s always a specific because.
When the Holy Spirit gives you His anointing, it’s because God has already given you an assignment.
Every single thing God calls you to do, the Holy Spirit wants to anoint you for, but you have to receive it.
3. The anointing of the Holy Spirit comes with His power.
One of the greatest advertisements for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of God is when ordinary people do extraordinary things.
Your weakness is a divine setup for the God of the universe to flex His strength through you.
When the Holy Spirit empowers, impossible things become possible.
4. Don’t ever let the anointing become more important than the Anointer.
If You aren’t with me, I can’t be me.
What is the Holy Spirit saying to me through this message?
