It is natural to look only at the actions people do, but every action comes from within. Our passage for today, Acts 10:1-23, show us how God can help us get to the “heart” of the matter.
Context: The gospel was on the move and beginning to make inroads outside of Jerusalem, but there were still huge walls between Jews and Gentiles to hinder that progress. Acts 10 begins the story of how God started breaking down those walls.
Acts 10:1-23 NIV
Heart change for two men:
1. Cornelius had a great heart and reverence for God, but he still needed to be saved (1-8).
He needed to say and mean, “_______________________________.”
2. Peter was a great apostle who knew the power of God, but he still needed to learn the heart of God (9-23).
