Finding Freedom

Finding Freedom

The Fourth of July holiday reminds us how deeply the past affects us still today – even as we celebrate our nation's independence, we remember both the value and the cost of that freedom. Just as our past affects our present, so too does our future. What do we believe about what is to come? And how do we live today in light of that tomorrow?

Next Week's Sermon

In every generation of God’s people, despite God’s covenantal love and kindness, there is a temptation to grow spiritually lethargic/complacent. We may fail to recognize God’s great work in our midst, feel disillusioned by the difficulties in life, or we even recognize his kindness yet coldly undervalue it. In each of these moments, there is a great temptation to compromise in our obedience – to smugly and proudly live our lives by what we believe is right – rather than hold steadfastly to God’s Word and trust his goodness and wisdom. Join us as we study God's words for Israel through Malachi and understand how it applies to our hearts today.
