ECC-Evangelical Covenant Church
The Center of All Things
We are glad you are with us today. We believe that Jesus not only forgives us and makes a way for us to know him, but he transforms us and renews the image of God within us, then sends us out into the world. We hope you'll join us this week as we begin a new series on Colossians. We worship together each Sunday morning at 10:30am on Facebook, YouTube, or in person.

All Church Retreat
Expand
Moved to the fall! While all the pieces are together for a great day, we have discovered that June 26 does not seem to be the best date for our church family. Because the goal and our desire is for this to be for our whole church family with as many of us as possible able to participate, we are rescheduling the retreat for September. We will communicate the new date once it is confirmed and throughout the summer we will share more details of what we will experience!
We look forward to the retreat and experiencing our God of all creation together in the fall!

Summer XP Wrap-up
Expand
We are so thankful for a full week of in-person Summer XP at Miller Elementary last week! All week long we had kids singing songs, playing games, making new friends, and learning about God’s great love for them. Thank you to our incredible team of volunteers who served in every way, from dinners, to classrooms, to large group, to registration. By Wednesday night, we had 46 kids participating, and we added a few more as we wrapped up the week. On Friday night the kids sang our Summer XP songs loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear! By the end of the week we were also serving over 80 dinners each night to Summer XP families and volunteers. We know this is a start toward rebuilding a program that was on hold for a pandemic, and we look forward to growing and expanding this ministry throughout the year and into next summer. Pray with us that each and every child who joined us will continue to grow in their love and knowledge of God!

Fourth Sunday after Pentecost
Reverend Harold Spooner
Write your main take away from this week's sermon below:
Questions to ponder.
Read over today’s passage three or four times, out loud, prayerfully. What words or phrases stand out to you? What might God be saying to you through by praying through the passage?
Questions to ponder.
Did you hear anything in today’s message that surprised you, challenged you in a new way, or encouraged you to take a practical step?
Questions to ponder.
What one thing might you do in response to the preached message this week?
Questions to ponder.
What experiences or conversations have you had in the last few weeks that confirm or challenge this morning’s message in your own experience?
A practice to engage.
Is there anyone with whom you might share the core message of today’s sermon? How would you summarize what you heard if someone asked you, “What happened at church today?”
Prayer for the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost
O Lord, make us have perpetual love and reverence for your holy Name, for you never fail to help and govern those whom you have set upon the sure foundation of your loving-kindness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
