OPENING HYMN
When Morning Gilds the Skies……………………..…LSB 807
1 When morning gilds the skies,
My heart, awaking, cries,
“May Jesus Christ be praised!”
When evening shadows fall,
This rings my curfew call:
“May Jesus Christ be praised!”

2 When mirth for music longs,
This is my song of songs:
“May Jesus Christ be praised!”
God’s holy house of prayer
Hath none that can compare
With “Jesus Christ be praised!”

3 No lovelier antiphon
In all high heav’n is known
Than “Jesus Christ be praised!”
There to the_eternal Word
The_eternal psalm is heard:
“May Jesus Christ be praised!”

4 Ye nations of mankind,
In this your concord find:
“May Jesus Christ be praised!”
Let all the earth around
Ring joyous with the sound:
“May Jesus Christ be praised!”

5 Sing, suns and stars of space,
Sing, ye that see His face,
Sing, “Jesus Christ be praised!”
God’s whole creation o’er,
Both now and evermore
Shall Jesus Christ be praised!

INVOCATION AND CALL TO WORSHIP
P: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen.
P: If anyone imagines that he knows something,
C: he does not yet know as he ought to know.
P: But if anyone loves God,
C: He is known by God. (1 Cor. 8:2-3)

CONFESSION & FORGIVENESS
P: Almighty God, we confess our many sins in doing those things You have forbidden, and not doing what You have commanded. Today, especially, we confess our lack of love for those who are still in spiritual ignorance and the darkness of unbelief, without Christ, and without hope.

C: Give us the compassion of Your Son Jesus Christ, the Savior of all people. Forgive our failure to share the blessings of the Gospel with people who still live in spiritual darkness. Forgive our blindness to Your vision for mission, our deafness to Your call to go, our failure to run with a sense of urgency. Cleanse us with Your full and free forgiveness. Challenge us by Your Spirit’s call to run a new path with clear vision for Your saving mission. We ask this for the sake of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

P: Almighty God has had mercy on us and has given His Son to die for us and for His sake has forgiven us all our sins. Power to become the children of God is given to all who believe on the name of Jesus Christ and they receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. Live the difference forgiveness brings to your life.

C: Amen.
THE PSALM OF THE DAY…..Psalm 34:11-14
P:Come, O children, listen to me;
C: I will teach you the fear of the Lord
P: What man is there who desires life
C: and loves many days, that he may see good?
P: Keep your tongue from evil
C: and your lips from speaking deceit.
P: Turn away from evil and do good;
C: seek peace and pursue it.
P: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
C: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

P: This is the Gospel of the Lord.
C: Praise be to You, O Christ ♫
THE NICENE CREED
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, Being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary And was made man; And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried; And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures; And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; And He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead; whose kingdom will have no end.
And I believe in the Holy Spirit, The Lord and giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, who spoke by the Prophets. And I believe one holy Christian and Apostolic Church, I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins, and I look for the resurrection of the dead; and the life of the world to come. Amen.
THE SERMON HYMN
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty…LSB 790
1 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is your health and salvation!
Let all who hear
Now to His temple draw near,
Joining in glad adoration!
2 Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things is wondrously reigning
And, as on wings of an eagle, uplifting, sustaining.
Have you not seen
All that is needful has been
Sent by His gracious ordaining?
3 Praise to the Lord, who has fearfully, wondrously, made you,
Health has bestowed and, when heedlessly falling, has stayed you.
What need or grief
Ever has failed of relief?
Wings of His mercy did shade you.

4 Praise to the Lord, who will prosper your work and defend you;
Surely His goodness and mercy shall daily attend you.
Ponder anew
What the Almighty can do
As with His love He befriends you.
5 Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that has life and breath, come now with praises before Him!
Let the Amen
Sound from His people again;
Gladly forever adore Him!

THE OFFERTORY ♫

THE CLOSING HYMN
Lord, Dismiss Us With Thy Blessing………………....LSB 924
1 Lord, dismiss us with Your blessing,
Fill our hearts with joy and peace;
Let us each, Your love possessing,
Triumph in redeeming grace.
O refresh us; O refresh us,
Trav’ling through this wilderness.
2 Thanks we give and adoration
For Your Gospel’s joyful sound.
May the fruits of Your salvation
In our hearts and lives abound.
Ever faithful, ever faithful
To Your truth may we be found.
3 Savior, when Your love shall call us
From our struggling pilgrim way,
Let not fear of death appall us,
Glad Your summons to obey.
May we ever, may we ever
Reign with You in endless day.
