Many scholars think Psalm 32 is a sequel to Psalm 51. We don't know this for sure since David doesn't directly mention his sin with Bathsheba. But there are enough links between the two passages to make a pretty good case. And like all good sequels, there is a difference between the two psalms: Psalm 51 shows us how to be forgiven, while Psalm 32 explains why being forgiven is so good.
