Sermon Notes, June 13, 2021
Many scholars think Psalm 32 is a sequel to Psalm 51. We don't know this for sure since David doesn't directly mention his sin with Bathsheba. But there are enough links between the two passages to make a pretty good case. And like all good sequels, there is a difference between the two psalms: Psalm 51 shows us how to be forgiven, while Psalm 32 explains why being forgiven is so good. In this sermon from Psalm 32, we consider three freedoms that belong to those who confess to the Lord and receive forgiveness for their sins.
