Jesus is fully divine and fully human.

The Word became flesh and moved into the neighborhood.

Because Jesus is fully divine - the suffering under Pontius Pilate, being crucified, dead and buried takes on significance. This isn’t someone being taken out by his enemies but rather someone who has given himself up to them. [Ephesians 2]

Because Jesus is fully human - that he arose from the dead, ascended into heaven signals that he was the “firstborn of a large family” says Romans 8:29.

Jesus is Lord and Savior

Today’s society wants the kingdom without the king. They want what Jesus can do for them without forming life around Jesus’ example and teaching.
