Satan attacks us through temptation. Satan uses temptation to drag us away from God and bring us into the bondage of sin which gives birth to death.

When we are bound by sin, we become pregnant with death. We labor through life only to give birth to death. Our lives become the breeding ground for sorrow, pain and death. We lose our field of influence and worse, we become a negative influence pushing people away from God.

God strengthens us to overcome temptation through the conviction of the Holy Spirit. God will not allow the temptation to sin to be greater than His grace upon our lives. Temptation is an outward draw; conviction is an inward power.

Conviction exposes the lies, refutes the false imaginations, and affirms the truth.

God strengthens us to overcome temptation by creating a way of escape. We don’t fight temptation; we flee from temptation. We overcome by getting out of the place of temptation, proximity creates power.
