What is LoveKey Church All About?
Our name comes from the fact that we believe that the KEY to salvation (giving your life to Jesus, becoming a reborn Christian) is the revelation of how much God LOVES you. And the KEY to living the life He has for us is to LOVE him back. That’s why LoveKey Church is a local expression of a part of the body of Christ with a focus on creating a place, opportunity and atmosphere where all people can encounter God, align with His purposes in order to reign in life, and help others to do the same.
ENCOUNTER, ALIGN REIGN, HELP OTHERS DO THE SAME - easy way to remember it.
We believe the Bible is the word of God and we commit to be obedient to it with the leading of the Holy Spirit
We believe that marriage and family is God’s idea and His way of doing it is the right way and the best way. We want to see marriages thrive and families be healthy in Jesus. Because healthy families build a healthy nation - notice I didn’t say “perfect” families, I said healthy - whole in Jesus, reconciled in Jesus, redeemed by Jesus, focused on Jesus.
We stand for unity in the body of Christ - we can be diverse but not divided, and celebrate our different gifts and roles in the greater body of Christ. We really resonate with Jesus’ prayer in John 17 where he asks that the Father will make us all one as He and the Father are one so that the world will know that He sent Him. Our biggest evangelical tool is unity!
We want to help eradicate fatherlessness and shine a light on the crisis of cultural Christianity - South Africa has a physical fatherlessness rate of 62% and other forms of fatherlessness in the remaining percentage - it truly is a huge problem.
Cultural Christianity is where people grow up in a so-called Christian home or culture and believe that that makes them a Christian, when in fact it is very possible that the culture they’re in has adopted a version of God that is convenient, made it apart of their culture and they’re actually worshipping their culture.
We want this to be a multi-generational, multi-cultural church that lives to know Jesus and to make Him known.

MAIN MESSAGE: LORDSHIP & OBEDIENCE: “LORD | CHRIST | KING” (And we are called, chosen and faithful if we stand with Him)
We are starting our foundation of Lordship and Obedience today. Today we will establish that Jesus is Lord, Christ and King. And next week we will look at why we should choose to submit under Him and what does that look like.
The Bible teaches that Jesus is Lord, Christ and King. So, we’re going to look at where this is said, and delve into what it means.
And then next week we need to look at the reaction to that position which will either be submission or rebellion.
(There is a well known saying that goes, “Jesus is either lord of all or not lord at all” This is true to the extent that I let Him be lord of my life or not. But the wording can imply that our choice in following him as lord or not has an affect on his lordship. But that is just impossible.)
We have been speaking about faith. Part of that was to establish that if we are indeed Christians - the real kind where you truly repented, got born again and stepped into salvation by grace through faith and live for Jesus, that kind of Christian - then we believe that the word of God is the word of God and we need to apply faith to it. So, as we read the following passages, I want to encourage you to be intentional about encountering God through His word. Allow Holy Spirit to speak to you through these passages. Let the truth of the Bible permeate through your whole being and saturate your spirit.
The word of God brings life, clarity and freedom when we are focused on receiving it, making our hearts good soil for the seed of his word.
Let us read scriptures that establishes that Jesus is Lord, Christ, and King.

Ok, that’s quite a few scriptures establishing that Jesus is Lord, Christ and King. Before we look at what that means, I want to show you something about a two word phrase: ALL THINGS
JESUS HAS:
Authority
Ownership
Dominion
OVER ALL THINGS
And is the ORIGIN of ALL THINGS
Let's read some more scriptures! Remember, you need to establish whether you are reading the word of God by faith, receiving it and applying it.

Do you see a pattern???
ALL THINGS! ALL THINGS!! ALL THINGS!!
No, I don’t think you get it - AAAAALLLLLL THIIIIINNNGGSS!!! EVERY THING!
He is all, owns all, has all, holds it all together…
You are part of that all, your life, your circumstances, the challenges you face, the promises you have from God, the faith you have, the fears, doubts and worries, you have, the illness you may be struggling with, the financial challenges you face, the addiction you’re battling - he knows it, he is above it - he has all authority.
He is Lord
He is Christ
He is King
All things are for him, to him and from him.
He is Jesus.
A lord is someone who has authority over you. A boss, a master
Christ means the anointed one, the one who has been appointed for a certain task, marked to fulfill a specific calling, a word that has gone out from God that will not return to him void/empty.
A king rules and reigns over a kingdom. A Kingdom is a certain domain, an area filled with a certain kind of people.
A lord is lord over all things in your life if he is your lord. A King rules over all things in his kingdom, and the title of King is usually received from the royal bloodline and inherited from the Father - it gives it it’s legitimacy. Authority is given by the one who has it to give.
God the father purposes for his Son Jesus to have all authority because of his sacrifice he made for all of us.
Here’s a question. If someone is lord over you and king over you, does your opinion of them and your obedience or lack of obedience to them affect their lordship of kingship status?
Do you think humans are capable of circumventing Jesus’ authority, ownership and dominion with disobedience or rebellion? Is it shaken by the unwillingness of people to do things His way, follow his word?
No. He remains Lord, Christ and King no matter what people do or say.
What is in the balance is whether we align ourselves with the Lord, Christ and King of the kingdom we’re in or not. And we will get into that more next week.
For now I want all of us to reflect and respond to these amazing scriptures we’ve read.
REFLECT AND RESPOND.
Maybe you need to start by repenting that you have had a warped image of Jesus in your mind. Yes, this Lord, Christ and King is also called our friend in scripture, I know, but that friendship is with a master, not an equal as Jesus says in John 15. So he is not our buddy, pal or playmate. He is Lord, Christ and King, and that never changes
Let’s ask Jesus to reveal to us Him as Lord, Christ as King, just let Holy Spirit guide your imagination and be open to see, hear, feel what he wants you to.
If anyone here realises in this moment that they do not know this Lord, Christ and King or that they had no idea who he truly is and how serious this is, please raise your hand and let me guide you in a prayer
SALVATION AND REPENTANCE PRAYER
Let us all purpose in your spirit beings right now that we will keep Jesus on the throne of our lives where he belongs. In all things, all areas of our lives.
