Redefining Moments — 31 May - 5 June 2021

It is in “Redefining Moments” each day that our faith is strengthened through time in prayer and reading the Bible.  This weekly guide is designed to help you in your journey.

Locations & Times

Tervuren, Belgium

Broekstraat 1, 3080 Tervuren, Belgium

Monday 6:15 AM

MONDAY: Do the Right Thing
Reading: Isaiah 1:16-18
Prayer: Lord, You are the champion of the oppressed and compassionate toward those who are marginalized. Help me to be Your instrument in this world. Forgive me for times when I've been apathetic to the plight of those who are hurting and for moments when I've been insensitive to those who are suffering. Lord make me an instrument of Your peace to my world.
TUESDAY: Do the Right Thing
Reading: Luke 11:42-44
Prayer: Jesus, even when You walked among us, You were concerned with justice. Help me to avoid the trap of a religious exterior with a selfish heart that lacks concern for the poor, the widow, and the marginalized. Help me to practice faithfulness and obedience with action toward eliminating injustice where I am able. I need Your love to fill me that I might walk humbly and be responsive to the needs around me.
WEDNESDAY: Do the Right Thing
Reading: Luke 10:25-37
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your matchless grace & loving mercy. Help me to be a person of mercy in every circumstance. Give me opportunities this week to be the one who abandons my comfort zone to show mercy to someone. I love You, Jesus!
THURSDAY: Do the Right Thing
Reading: Isaiah 58:5-10
Prayer: Lord, sometimes it's easy to get caught up in going through the motions with You, but this is not the life that You desire. You have called me to be a person of mercy—one who takes care of the poor and lifts up the marginalized. Help me to see the needs around me—both physically and spiritually, and use me as an instrument of peace.
FRIDAY: Do the Right Thing
Reading: James 4:10
Prayer: Jesus, help me maintain a posture of humility. Push out any selfishness and pride—any sense of superiority or entitlement, and replace it with a heart of humility and a desire to serve others.
SATURDAY: Do the Right Thing
Reading: Romans 12:3-5
Prayer: Lord, to "walk humbly" means that I need to fully grasp Your love and grace in my life. It's easy, Lord, to make comparisons and to elevate my own position and failing to recognize what You have done in my life. Keep my head and my heart grounded in You and humble among those with whom You have entrusted to me—my world—my family—my circle of influence.
