Proverbs 10:7 NIV
Introduction:
The term blessing means benefit. It has the meaning of comfort, encouragement, example, exhortation.
I. THEIR COMMITMENT
A. Who do we remember today?
B. We remember their commitment
C. Commitment is needed today
D. Commitment is to be our calling
If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Mt. 16:24 NIV
II. THEIR SERVICE
A. What is MOS? Military Occupational Specialty
B. Their service is a reflection of their commitment
C. The work they do is of great comfort to us

III. THEIR SACRIFICE
A. How does one measure sacrifice?
B. The greatest sacrifice is giving your life
If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Mt. 16:24-26 NIV
Conclusion:
These men & women have given us a very special gift; freedom. As we honor them, we are reminded that their example is Jesus Christ. He died for us that we might live spiritually. Like them, we have an example to follow.
