Trust is like a muscle. If we want stronger muscles, we need to do things that make our muscles stronger – lift weights, do push-ups, work the crunches, and so on. It turns out this principle applies to our spiritual muscles too. If we want our trust in the Lord to grow stronger, we need to do things that strengthen our trust-muscles. That’s where Psalm 11 comes in. In Psalm 11, King David shows us three ways we can build up our trust-muscles so that we can trust in the Lord even in the face of life’s most worrisome circumstances.
