- What does it mean to bite and devour each other? See verses 19-21 for examples.
- What does it mean to ‘walk in the Spirit?’
Interpret-
- God’s freedom offers opportunities. What are some of the opportunities this freedom brings you?
- Eugene Peterson in the Message translates ‘indulge the flesh’ (NIV) as ‘feeding the compulsions of selfishness.’ How do we turn freedom into ‘feeding our compulsions?’
- Love for others helps to moderate freedom. How do you see this lived out in your life? Who has set you free by loving you?
Apply-
- Where are you experiencing freedom in your daily life?
- How can you encourage love instead of ‘biting and devouring each other’ this week?
- What neighbor or family member do you need to set free to love this week?
