A few observations regarding this conversation on a cross:
1. Following Jesus does not prevent earthly troubles.
But why...a needed question we tend to ask during difficult circumstances.
Our experiences with earthly sorrow and earthly trouble are to remind us that we are to live in a state of dependency on Christ...not with a dependency on our own power and ability.
2. The humanity of Jesus eases your willingness to trust.
A life of faith is not above the reach of fear.
