Prayer: Prophesied about through the Prophet Joel and affirmed by Peter on the day of Pentecost, I recognize that Your gift of the Holy Spirit is for ME, my family, and for whoever will come to You! You are an awesome God and have empowered Your Church for generations! Fill me today with Your Holy Spirit!

Prayer: O Lord, You desire for me to come to You in humility, in repentance, and in obedience. As I come to You in this way, I am so grateful that You desire to give me the gift of the Holy Spirit. Forgive me for times when I've gotten frustrated or impatient in the waiting, and I know that You have not overlooked my generation. Fill me today, I pray!

It means that right now—in my generation, as well as those who came before and those who will follow have access to the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Help me to hunger for Your Spirit as I navigate my world today. Give me courage and strength to walk in the freedom You give.
