Prayer Time on Sunday Morning: Next week we will continue our series of prayer through the Scripture where the New Testament authors engage in prayer for the church. However, this week we will focus our prayers on ways that we can be praying for mothers within our congregation.
Thanksgiving for Mothers: Thank the Lord for the incredible gift of mothers. Thank God for their diverse talents and gifts, for their sacrifices on our behalf, for their tireless labor and care, and for the myriads of other ways in which God has blessed us through them.
Pray for Strength for Moms: Pray that God would grant to each mother the strength to accomplish what God has ordained for her to accomplish.
Pray for Single Moms: Pray for those whom God has called to mother alone. Pray that God would grant them a special measure of His grace as they navigate the unique issues of motherhood that they face.
Pray for Tired and Stressed Out Moms: Pray for mothers as they labor and as they grow weary of the task. Pray that God would grant them rest, joy, peace, and fulfillment in their high calling. Pray for those moms who are perhaps stressed by the unique challenges that are facing their children or their family.
Pray for Hurting Moms: Pray for moms who are struggling and hurting. Pray for the burdens that they bear and the issues that they are facing. Pray that the Holy Spirit would bring them comfort and peace.
Pray for the Purpose of Mothers: Pray that the mothers in our church would sense the incredibly high calling to which they have been called. Pray that God would walk with them through the purpose for which they have been called. Pray that the mothers of our congregation would faithfully steward the young lives that God has entrusted to their care.
Pray for those Waiting to be Moms: Pray for those women who have not yet born children. Pray that God would bless them with children according to His timetable and purpose.
What else would God desire of us to pray about this important task of motherhood?
