Jesus working in you through faith is the essential building block for new creation.
Apostle
A(postle) stands for the 12;
a(postle) stands for the gift of being sent.
Listening for the call.
An angel speaks to Phillip a) get up, b) go toward the road that leads from Jerusalem to Gaza.
Following the call.
So...Phillip a) got up, and b) went.
Meet people where they are physically and spiritually.
Starting with this Scripture, he proclaimed the good news of Jesus.
Include them in the fellowship.
What is to prevent me from being baptized?
Let’s not make this any more difficult than listening, following, meeting, and including. That is the apostolic impulse!
Romans 10:14–15 (NRSV)
14 But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? 15 And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Hello, beautiful people.
Messengers of the good news. Vessels of truth and grace. Midwives of new creation.
