I know a mess when I see one because I am one.
The mess that brings us together is the mess that brought God near.
• The Law makes us conscious of our sin.
• The principle of sin is aggravated by the Law.
• The flesh is the fallen part of me that remains and partners with sin to defeat me.

Can I make a mess and stay at BayLife Church?
1. There will be messes.
2. A mess is an opportunity for ministry.
3. We are all capable of making a mess.
4. A mess helps us see our need for one another.
Will God use you after you make a mess? Absolutely.
DISCUSSION GUIDE

Use these questions to reflect on this week's message as a family or group.

1. Quick Review:
“The mess that brought us together is the mess that _____________________.”
"I know a mess when I see one because _____________________!”

2. The Apostle James said, “We all stumble in many ways” (James 3:2). How can that be a warning to “all”? How can the same statement also be an encouragement to “all”?

3. Read Galatians 6:1-2. How is biblical restoration with “gentleness” so different from the “cancel culture” that we see in our world today?

4. When God uses you to walk someone out of a mess, what are the two things that we are to guard our hearts from?

5. Galatians 6:2 charges us to “Bear one another's burdens.” How can involvement in a small group help us live out this principle?

6. Our mess can be an opportunity for future ministry. What are some of the ways that God can use our messes in our future?

7. BayLife Church is a safe place for you and even your mess. How can this reality also influence how we pray and invest in the lives of people in our life?

Worship through Giving

Thank you for your generosity! You may have seen that our partner church is still handling our online giving as a way to support our launch. For now, your online giving receipts will continue to come from Rivertown Community Church.

People come to church for a variety of reasons, but everyone faces a common challenge in coming to church—getting connected! The front door to real engagement at BayLife is our Engage Class. This takes place right after service on Sunday. Lunch and childcare are provided and Pastor Brian will host you through this ninety-minute seminar where you will discover more about your new church and how you can be fully engaged.

In our family ministry, we strive to partner with parents to help children find and follow God. We provide resources that help parents during their busy lives lead their children to explore faith. Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and as we celebrate all women, we also want to provide an opportunity to formally express our commitment to parents and for parents to formally express their commitment to spiritually lead their children. If you'd like to participate, sign up below.

You're invited to join us for Mother's Day at BayLife Church as we honor the women in our lives.
