Why Should I Read the Scriptures Everyday?

1. The Scripture Informs Us of Our Purpose = Glorify God

· God’s plan for us to glorify Him flows out of His love for us. He desires that we glorify Him because he knows we will be most satisfied as a result. “No matter how deep we probe into the motives of God, we will never arrive at a layer which is not love.” – John Piper

· “The glory of God is the beauty and excellence of His manifold perfections. He created us so that His glory might be known and praised among the nations.” – John Piper
· God created us to know Him and love Him and show Him.
· His self-revelation, as given to us in His written Word, gives us all we need to know, love and show Him!
