How To Recover From A Botched Dream:

• Accept responsibility for YOUR poor decisions.
Four Common Causes For Botched Dreams:
(Things We Can Learn From Peter’s Betrayal of Jesus )
1. Pride!
“Peter told Him, “Even if everyone runs away, I will certainly not!” (Mark 14:29)
2. Fatigue.
“Then He came and found them sleeping. “Simon, are you sleeping?” He asked Peter. “Couldn’t you stay awake one hour?” (Mark 14:37)
3. Fear.
“Peter followed Him at a distance, right into the high priest’s courtyard...” (Mark 14:54a)
4. Instant gratification.
“He was sitting with the temple police, warming himself by the fire.” (Mark 14:54b)

• Ask God for forgiveness and mercy.
“Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithful love; according to Your abundant compassion, blot out my rebellion. Wash away my guilt and cleanse me from my sin. For I am conscious of my rebellion, and my sin is always before me … Surely You desire integrity in the inner self, and You teach me wisdom deep within … God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:1-3, 6 & 10)

• Accept God’s amazing grace!
“We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace …” (Ephesians 1:7)
“Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus …” (Romans 8:1)
“For I know the plans I have for you” - This is the Lord’s declaration - “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
“Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us …” (Ephesians 3:20)
