The Atonement
God paid a great price for us because He has a great plan for us.

Isaiah 53:5

2 Corinthians 5:14-21

One life was required for our life.

1. Sin requires a life.
2. The only solution was God giving himself. The remedy was solely with God.
3. Jesus was the only one capable of the payment.
4. Our sin makes us unworthy.
5. Christ’s sacrifice makes us worthy.

To God, the prize was worth the price.

1 John 2:1-2

Making our life the prize justified by the price.

God paid a great price for us because He has a great plan for us.
1. Our Friendship with God.
2. Our Fitness with God.
3. Our Fruitful life for God.

Exodus 9:16

That now becomes the purpose of his people. It wouldn’t look right for those who know him to keep silent about him. Who knows, but the next person you mention God to, may be ready that very moment to respond and surrender to his Lordship over their life. People just need an interest and an invitation.
