Our own advice is filtered through emotions that can distort reality for us

Saying “no” to emotions that compete for control of our life

Emotions influence, impact, and drive behavior

We develop an ability to monitor our behavior

Goal: To develop ability to monitor what is happening inside of us

God is not most concerned with how our behavior affects Him

Our Heavenly Father is more concerned with what comes out than what goes in

To be defiled: To be at odds with God

It comes out of us because it is in us

All problematic behavior begins with a thought
