Truth in a Culture of Confusion
We live in an age where we are seduced by the lies of the evil one that feed our insecurities and stoke our outrage. We are in danger of shaping our version of truth rather than submitting to God's truth shaping us. In the confusion God calls us back to the source.

Post-truth means “relating to circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief”.

We live in a culture where everyone has a right to form their own version of truth which fits with their opinions and lifestyle.

Christians are called to live in the world, while knowing they are not of the world and are to be set apart by truth.

Sadly, today, many live in the world, as the world and are led by their feelings and preferences.

More than ever today, our society needs to know that there is an objective source of truth and we need to return to that source.

Read John 8:31-38
The Source of Truth is God.

“…He who sent Me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from Him I tell the world.” John 8:26

God is trustworthy; He will not deceive or mislead you.

- God the Father has always kept His promises.
- Jesus shows us by His actions that He is faithful.
- The Holy Spirit always speaks truth into our lives.

We need to be alert to the schemes of the evil one and be committed to God as the source of truth who is completely trustworthy.
It is possible to know the truth.

“…If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples. Then you will know the truth, …” John 8:31-32

God is truth. To know Him is to know truth.

If it is possible to know the truth, then you need to search for the truth.

Jesus lived the truth and He exposed lies.

The only way for us to live the truth is to know the truth through a living relationship with Jesus Christ.
Jesus, the truth, sets you free.

The seducing lies of Satan deceive us into believing we are free when, in reality, we are trapped.

“…the truth will set you free. If the Son sets you free you will be free indeed.” John 8:32 & 36

We think that God wants to rob us of our freedom when all the time He wants us to live in freedom.
We are called to live the truth.

“Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” John 8:47. “Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:6

The truth is not something that you weaponize; it is something you wear.

We submit to God’s truth in all areas of our lives and we become living statements of His truth as we reflect Him.

The world needs more than a public statement; it needs people who are being humbled by His grace and who demonstrate His truth by loving others as Christ loves us.

Don’t simply demand the change, be the change!

Worship Through Giving

Giving back to God is a regular expression of worship, gratitude and praise.  See our giving options. Offering Prayer: God thank you for everything that you have provided to us. We give back to you as an expression of worship, gratitude, and praise for who you are. You are a good good father. Thank you that through this challenging time, we are assured that we do not need to worry, but trust that you will provide for our needs. Help us to be generous with what you have given, and lead us into opportunities to bless and serve others with the resources you have given to us. In Jesus' name. Amen
