What To Expect:
We're currently in Phase 3 of WestWay's "re-gathering" plan. Our Nursery, Wee-Ones (toddlers), and Noah's Park (pre-k & kindergarten), and elementary age (grades 1-5) areas are open on Sunday mornings. Small groups and Sunday school for adults have begun to meet again. Learn more below.

Paul writes that in order to know God’s will as a church, we must do 2 things:
1- Offer our bodies as a holy and living sacrifice to God
2- Do not copy/be conformed to the behavior and customs of this world, but allow God to transform us by the renewing of our minds.
Question: Why do you think these two things are necessary to know God’s will as a church?
Dealing with pride as a church:
1- Don’t think of yourself as better than others, honestly evaluate yourself by comparing yourself to CHRIST
2- Love one another genuinely and take delight in honoring others
3- Live in harmony with others. Spend time with ordinary people and don’t think you know it all. If you think you have nothing to learn, you are missing out.
Question: How can these three things help us deal with pride in the church?
For Discussion:
Read Romans 12:4-8.
1- What does it mean for everyone to have a “special function” (NLT)?
2- Why are other members of the body important to you?
3- From verses 6-8, notice that Paul tells the people how they are to use the gifts. What ought our attitude or mindset be towards using the gifts? Why do you think Paul does this?
Discuss as a group.
As you move on to the next question, ask God for two things:
1- That you would not think of yourself better than you are .
2- That you would be honest in your evaluation of WestWay and yourself.
Read Romans 12:9-21.
1- Write out each of the instructions Paul gives to the church at Rome, each on a separate line.
2- Place a check mark by the ones you think members of WestWay need to practice more than they do.
3- Circle the ones YOU need to practice more than you do .
Notice the check marks and circles...are they the same?
Discuss as a group.
Read Romans 12 once more. Ask God to speak to you about your church and how it can better function as a body of Christ. Ask Him to speak to you about your relationship to the body of Christ. Discuss and record anything you sense God is saying to you through His Word.
