Series: Get Your Head in the Game
Date: March 25, 2021
Title: "Generosity"
Speaker: David H. McKinley, Pastor-Teacher
“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.” —Mahatma Gandhi

“He who is not contented with what he has would not be contented with what he would like to have.” —Socrates

“Nothing is ever enough for the man to whom enough is too little.” —Epicurus

“Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves.” —Horace Mann

“We cannot negotiate with people who say what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is negotiable.” —John F. Kennedy
• Greed is not a financial issue, but a spiritual issue.
• The issue is not the presence or absence of money in life, but our relationship to it.
I. Greed is intoxicating, yet we think we can hide.
• Greed is attractive, yet destructive.
• Greed is protective, yet deceptive.
• Greed is subjective, not objective.
2. Greed will enslave you, but you can escape it.
• Generosity is the key to unlocking greed's grip on us.
There are three possible views of money based on people’s view of the Bible:
----|--------------|---------------|----
Poverty Stewardship Prosperity
Stewarding View:
God = Owner
I = Manager

Bottom Line:

Frequent Thanksgiving =
Contentment and Good Success
